San Francisco Convent
The MEDICON 2019 will be held at the S. Francisco Convent which is a fusion between the old and modern architecture and is an emblematic building of Coimbra landscape. Founded in the early sixteenth century, tThroughout its history it served as hospital and barracks, and housed an important textile manufacturing unit. Acquired by the Coimbra Municipal Council, the building was recovered and assumes its new vocation as a Cultural Center and Congress Center of Coimbra.

Exit at Coimbra-A station, follow Av. Emídio Navarro towards Portagem. Cross the Ponte Santa Clara and go straight on Avenida João das Regras. At its border, in front, you will find the San Francisco Convent.
Car:
For those who travel to Coimbra by the A1, exit in Coimbra Sul, following the highway towards the city. At the first roundabout, exit at Coimbra Norte and follow the lane on the right towards Santa Clara. Afterwards, head towards Coimbra Centro, along Avenida da Guarda Inglesa, where you will find the São Francisco Convent on the southern border, on the right.
For those traveling on the A13, exit in Coimbra, following the N17. At the first roundabout, continue on the N17. At the second roundabout, follow direction IC3 / N17 (3rd exit). Cross the bridge Queen Santa Isabel. At the roundabout of the Lages go straight towards Santa Clara, along Av. João das Regras. At its border, in front, you will find the San Francisco Convent.
For those who travel by the IP3, exit in Coimbra, following the IC2 towards Coimbra / Lisboa. At the roundabout, exit at Coimbra Norte and follow the lane on the right towards Santa Clara. Afterwards, head towards Coimbra Centro, along Avenida da Guarda Inglesa, where you will find the São Francisco Convent on the southern border, on the right.
